Tristesse History!

The world was at war, different species fighting each other to show dominance and it was the humans who had paid the price. With each species having their own traits it meant there was great difficultly in finding a way to keep the peace until the Council of Supernatural and Human Interests (CSHI) formed. The CSHI formed with one member representing each species joining together to discuss arrangements in order for everyone to live in peace, ideally it was a brilliant idea. There had been too much blood shed and dying from all sides. They decided that this code was going to be created on a small Island located in the Bermuda Triangle with each leader signing the Treaty. The code stated that no species shall attack each other. This however was bound to be broken by werewolves who were too proud to listen, vampires who thought they knew better, demons who listened to no one and humans who hated the supernatural. So the CSHI decided to build an Asylum to lock up those who could not agree to the code.

Within a couple of years Tristesse Asylum was born, at first it was more of a prison however the role changed as those with mental illnesses became much more dangerous then those rebelling the code. The Asylum gave opportunity to experiment on other species and creating part breeds, embryos which people frowned upon. A demon decided that things needed to change, he worked in the Asylum as a doctor and manipulated people to start a riot within the Asylum. The staff were evacuated however not with a heavy death count and loss of the embryos especially when a fire damaged the building. The demon escape back to the mainland to hide before he was caught for causing the destruction.


Tristesse Asylum is most famous for holding captive a war hero at the time, Edward Skyes who fought for peace of all species who slowly lost his mind. He was one of the founding fathers of the Asylum but slowly started to lose the plot and they weren't sure if this was due to a demon or he was actually going insane so he was locked up until his death.

Tristesse Asylum has been rebuilt and houses all sorts of species, the graveyard is there to remember all those who have died during the riot as well as those patients who do not survive their treatment programs or death by old age. Tristesse is now the main source of the insane and is committed to bringing people back into the mainland however some will never be free and will be a forgotten memory.
