Demons are formed by human souls being tormented enough to lead them to suicide or a demon possessing a soul belonging to a human. The origin of the first demon is unknown however they refer to him as Lucifer.
Demons are the black figures in your room, the figure you think you see in your peripheral vision, the reason why you feel you are being watched. Demons love to torment others, they feed on fear and are strongest at night time. Demons can shape shift into human form so they can walk amongst the living, they can be differentiated from humans when in the dark, due to the eyes of a demon glowing red.
High Demon
A High Demon is a normal demon which is over the age of 10,000. These demons are completely pure and thought to be roaming since the Earth was created, there is human mythology on them, however there is no evidence for how long these demons have been around for. A High Demon is extremely powerful being able to use it's power in full potential when in a dark place, so it does not have to be pitch black outside to be at its strongest. A High Demon is also a force not to be reckoned with as they do not tend to get on with other species or other demons and like to be isolated as much as possible due to their long times on Earth by themselves. They take part in tormenting other species, creating deals with them and then owning their soul in return which they feed upon. A High Demon is very sensitive to Holy Water and only the strongest ones can sit in a religious building, they hate anything to do with religion and get physically burnt from such objects.
Demon
Demons are younger than High Demons, they are seen as children in the demon world and they certainly look the part. Demons tend to be more playful and tend to haunt people together or creating trouble. The younger they are the more freedom they want, they do not listen to anyone apart from a High Demon and will often get in trouble with other species. Demon's find it easier to get on with the other species however to use them for their own needs. Demons can only use their powers at night however their eyes glow when they are in the dark. Demons can change at night to their demon form to use their power however when not in form they cannot use their power.
Part Demon
These are demons which have bred with humans, this is only common with Incubus demons. Demons rarely want to associate with humans so part demons are extremely rare, however do happen. Part demons live to 1000 years and then die, they age slower than a normal human and take a weaker power from their demon parent. They have no demon form and can be told apart from other humans due to their eyes glowing in the dark.
Demon Powers
Demon powers depend on what sort of demon you are, there can be a wide range and most demons can only have one power however as a higher demon they can learn two powers and be able to use them. Demon powers are at there strongest in the dark and in their demon form which can be an animal to a shadow depending on what the demons preference is, some can even be invisible to the human eye which causes haunting.
